Sometimes life’s challenges can leave us feeling lost, hurt, angry, or confused. We all have unique experiences that shape who we are and sometimes we need a little support navigating those experiences and feelings. My style is to partner with you to identify and work through the struggles while building on the strengths that make you uniquely you. I enjoy working with individuals of many different races, religions, genders, and cultures.
Counseling sessions with me are collaborative and laid back. My approach to each session is as unique and individualized as each person I serve. I specialize in the treatment of trauma and work through a trauma-informed lens to help gain understanding and growth. Some of the interventions I am trained in include Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) as well as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I look forward to meeting you and hearing your story.
As a supervisor, my favorite thing is watching counselors gain confidence as they facilitate healing and growth in their clients. I have both a solution-focused and integrated developmental approach with a focus on ethics and evidence-based practices. I would love to help you build on your strengths while you gain experience as a counselor.

Therapy can be both traditional and creative by using an “out of the box” approach. I have been practicing across multiple therapeutic environments for the better part of five years. With specific experience in crisis and inpatient work as well as outpatient private practice, I do not limit myself to a specific population. I have worked with people with personality disorders, trauma experiences, the LGBT community, and topics surrounding grief. One of my favorite parts of mental health treatment is helping people become the main character in their stories through strength-based modalities and coping skills. I have experience in a wide variety of modalities with training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I am also a trained Game Master therapist through Geek Therapeutics which utilizes elements of Play Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). All my experience culminates to build a sense of adventure while you grow and heal in a safe, fun environment tailored to specific needs. Allow me to walk beside you while you start rewriting chapters of your life through interactive group therapy
TTRPG therapy is a twist on traditional group therapy. With this modality, interacting with group members turns into epic adventure, developing a unique narrative while you work toward traditional treatment goals. At Beyond the Storm Counseling, I work with people in groups of a maximum of six people at a time to explore, grow, and learn about themselves and each other over the course of a ten week “campaign”. Join me in a collaborative experience to work through issues such as anxiety, coping skills, communication skills, grief, trauma, and more. Stay tuned for information on group topics and scheduling. No prior experience in tabletop gaming required and groups are not being billed through insurance at this time. Self pay rates will be listed on the pricing page. Expect an initial individual session to establish you with the practice and get ready to roll for initiative!

Each individual’s path to mental well-being is as personal as it is unique. No matter the challenges you’re navigating, remember, you don’t have to face them alone. In my counseling sessions, I offer a soft-spoken and empathetic approach. I believe that therapy is most effective when clients feel safe, understood, and empowered. My priority lies in creating a supportive environment where clients can explore their emotions, process their experiences, and develop healthy coping strategies.
I have experience working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, ADHD, self-esteem issues, and life transitions. I am an LGBTQIA+-affirming and neurodivergent-friendly therapist dedicated to providing inclusive and affirming care to all clients. As each individual’s circumstances are unique, I tailor my approach to meet the individual needs and goals of each client. Some of the modalities I am trained in include dialectical-behavior therapy (DBT) and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my partner, playing online video games with friends, and listening to music. I like quiet, cozy days where I can snuggle on the couch with my cat, Keno.

From young kids to aging adults, we will partner together to find the best course of treatment. Together we will build trust and write a personalized treatment plan that follows your own timeline. I believe in a "wholistic" approach (whole person - environmental, psychological, vocational, physiological, social, emotional, and spiritual) using innovative ways to promote personal wellness.
Counselors look at human development focusing on prevention, wellness, and empowerment to promote client mental health, education, and career goals. I help clients through their crisis and together work to implement strategies to increase their wellness, resilience, and prevent crisis events in the future. My foundational approach to counseling is based in the Psychodynamic Theory and I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Each session with me is different and relaxed with no pressure to come "prepared." I look forward to helping you build and discover new strengths, beliefs, and practices as you work toward your goals.

The idea of therapy can be intimidating, but it doesn't have to be. If you’re dealing with something heavy that you might not have the tools to work through on your own just yet, I’m here to help. I’m someone who can help you vent, work through trauma, heal relationships, and find easier ways to get through the day. If you can’t focus, have trouble communicating, can’t seem to feel fulfilled and in control of your life, I’m here.
I have 6 years of experience working with children, young adults, families, couples, and others, healing anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD and more. My approach is relaxed, yet thorough, and is focused on what each client needs individually. I use evidence-based modalities and include brain and body science education to help you understand yourself better. My goal is to help find what peace and progress can look like in your life. At your pace, we can safely challenge your obstacles and learn how to maintain more control, resilience, and fulfillment. When we reach our end, you take with you the confidence to continue these efforts and a toolbox of mental health strategies to do so.
If you have any concern about being safe in your identity in therapy, please know that I strive to create an inclusive environment for all clients, including LGBTQIA+ individuals, all relationship types, all religions, and all states of ability. I'm always open to creating accommodations for access and sensory comfort upon request as well. Outside of practicing therapy, I like doing advocacy and activism, crafts, gardening, cooking, and going to estate sales and thrift shops!
